Job Description

One of our Government Organization clients is seeking a permanent Events Manager to join their growing Parks and Recreation team in Chesterfield VA. The Events Manager will assist in the creation and promotion of community engagement special events and experiences ranging from 10-10,000 people. This individual will be responsible for managing the organization, staffing and operation activities as well as overseeing event budgeting, logistics and timelines. They will also liaison with community partners, sponsors, businesses, event planners and resident organization to foster positive relationships and successful event planning.

Salary Range: $68,000-$81,000

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in a related field of study
3+ years of event planning and management work experience for large scale events
Prior management or supervisory work experience
Experience planning community events

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Masters Degree
