Principal Software Systems Engineer

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Software Systems Engineer to support our team building a cloud platform that will revolutionize the way mission critical data is shared across DOD joint forces. design, development, and integration of complex software systems. This position requires deep expertise in software architecture, systems engineering, and large-scale software integrations. The Senior Software Systems Engineer will be responsible for driving the technical direction, leading design efforts, and overseeing the delivery of high-performance, secure, and scalable systems that meet the strategic needs of the business. The individual will draw on their software engineering skills to lead the design and development of sophisticated software systems, including distributed architectures, real-time systems, and cloud-based applications. They will help to define and document high-level system architecture, design principles, and technical roadmaps.

Hourly: 64-98/hr
Salary: 130,000-190,000

-Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of experience
-Active Secret Clearance
-Working experience developing web-based applications
-Working experience developing cloud-hosted applications
-Experience with one of the following languages for backend software development (Java, C#, Ruby, Python) in cloud environments
-Experience utilizing Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming, event-driven architectures, and building fault-tolerant, scalable messaging systems
-Extensive experience in cloud-native architectures, microservices, and distributed system design. Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

-Familiarity with DevOps, IAC, or Automation Technologies
