You will be responsible for providing critical data-driven consulting services, including developing dashboards, visualizations, and performance tracking methods to monitor key metrics. Your primary function will be to ensure alignment between IT initiatives and broader organizational goals, while driving the execution and monitoring of OITs strategic plan. Additionally, you will work closely with OIT stakeholders to implement measurement frameworks, analyze data, and deliver actionable insights that support continuous improvement and decision-making across service lines.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance Measurement and Data Analysis:
o Lead the development and implementation of a Performance Measurement framework, identifying the most effective OKRs, Key Results Indicators (KRIs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure VAs strategic goals.
o Determine the specific data needed to measure performance and define the processes for data collection, ensuring accuracy and consistency across service lines.
o Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations using tools like Power BI and Tableau to track and communicate performance metrics in real time.
o Prepare and deliver Quarterly Metrics Reports, visualizing data and providing insights to help leadership make evidence-based decisions.
o Continuously improve performance metrics and data collection methods based on feedback and changing organizational needs
Strategic Consulting and Process Improvement:
o Coordinate the development of strategic planning artifacts, ensuring alignment across OITs diverse service lines.
o Drive continuous improvement by leveraging insights from Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), Key Results Indicators (KRIs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
o Support the development and implementation of new processes to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
o Collaborate with stakeholders across the VA OIT domain to identify strategic needs and provide consulting support to meet them.
o Conduct gap analyses on existing processes and provide actionable recommendations to align IT initiatives with the VAs strategic goals.
Operationalizing Data-Driven Decision-Making:
o Provide OIT leadership with comprehensive insights by analyzing collected data and developing Executive Summaries that highlight strategic opportunities and risks.
o Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that strategic initiatives are tracked effectively using OKRs and that all activities are coordinated and aligned with VA priorities.
Technical Support and Tools Implementation:
o Work with technical teams to develop a digital Measurement & Monitoring tool, leveraging platforms such as Power BI or Tableau to streamline data collection and reporting.
o Support the implementation of technical solutions that enhance VAs IT capabilities and streamline processes for internal and external stakeholders.
o Assist in the design and development of a SharePoint site to support VA stakeholders, ensuring ease of use and functionality.
Operationalizing Data-Driven Decision-Making:
o Provide OIT leadership with comprehensive insights by analyzing collected data and developing Executive Summaries that highlight strategic opportunities and risks.
o Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that strategic initiatives are tracked effectively using OKRs and that all activities are coordinated and aligned with CIO priorities.
The pay for this position ranged from $55-63/hr with a conversion salary of $125-135k depending years of experience.

Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business, Data Science, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in business consulting, data analysis, or a related role, with exposure to government contracting preferred.
Ability to develop visualizations in tools such as Power B, Tableau and Excel, and design/implement a SharePoint site.
