Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Sr. Hardware/Software Asset & Configuration Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administrative duties within:
IT Asset Hardware Management including procurement and inventory management function. Maintains records and databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements for the organization's hardware and software. Tracks quality throughout the product lifetime. Responsible for day-to-day operations and lifecycle management pertaining to IT Assets within the contracted operating environment. Ensures established hardware and software acquisition, protection, maintenance and retention policies, and standards and procedures are followed. Coordinates with the procurement function to interview, select and negotiate with hardware and software vendors in order to purchase the appropriate equipment at the lowest cost. Reviews licenses and/or contracts to ensure that hardware and software equipment is covered by the contract and properly documented. Follows established system of control for assets and manages these assets through their lifecycle from procurement to final disposition.
IT Software Asset Management including change/configuration management request, license and software maintenance, and equipment and software warranties, software license management services for software deployed in support of all IT services delivered. Responsible for administrative duties within the IT software management function. Maintains records and databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements for the organization's software. Responsible for day-to-day operations and lifecycle management pertaining to IT software assets within the contracted operating environment. Ensures established software protection, change, maintenance and retention policies, and standards and procedures are followed. Follows established system of control for software assets and manages these assets through their lifecycle from procurement to final disposition.

Required Skills & Experience

-Active Secret Clearance & ability obtain DEA Suitability
-3+ years experience supporting the Asset & Configuration Management (Hardware and Software) identification, tracking, disposition and reporting of IT assets, preferably with an ITSM configuration management database, i.e. ServiceNow CMDB.
-Bachelors Degree or minimum 7 years of experience in lieu of degree
-Experience with ServiceNow ITSM, Hardware Asset Management, Software Asset Management, and various Hardware, Software asset management tools
-Experience implementing and/or using ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and/or Hardware Asset Management and Software Asset Management required
-Strong excel skills are required (creating pivot tables, creating macros, etc.)
-Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to simultaneously track multiple Asset Management activities
-Experience working on virtual teams
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-Must be able to work independently and take initiative to identify, track, and resolve issues
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills with emphasis on customer service, including experience handling challenging situations and conflict resolution
-Ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
