Technical Writer

Technical Writer will be part of a large project team consisting of solutions architects, developers and testers. Aprox 40 resources. Project is a multi-cloud solution to digitize scanned paper tax forms to send to various systems and databases.

We are seeking a Technical Writer to support a federal program. The Technical Writer will be responsible for the preparation, review, revision, and maintenance of technical documents including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation. Writes and edits technical documentation for all the projects hardware and software to include installation, configuration and how-to documentation. Creates code documentation for software; produces implementation guides and end-user guides for capabilities; provides field, data definition, and data flow documentation and formats technical publications from pamphlets, technical drawings, and consultations with technical personnel and other available resources.

Required:
Bachelors and 3-5 Years of experience.
MBI Clearance

Works on writing, editing, proofreading and/or providing writing support on non-technical and/or technical documents or sections of documents such as manuals, procedures, and specifications in support of the PRPS contract.
Writing and editing responsibilities include, technical, creative, digital, marketing, and product development to meet customer requirements.
Design and develop technical manuals, brochures, training materials, or other documentation in support of contract deliverables.
Research technical reference materials, gather relevant technical information and collaborating with teammates or other experts to develop draft and final copies of documentation based on contract requirements.
Works under limited supervision to achieve day-to-day objectives of completing draft and final documentation.
Coordinate layout and design of documents
Research highly technical subject matter, organizes information from multiples sources, and express technical information in written form that is comprehensible to a wide audience of readers
Under general direction, write technical copy for various types of documents for a program/project of similar complexity
Apply concepts for technical writing based on engineering drawings, technical information from engineering documentation, consultations with engineers and subject matter experts, and other available sources
Interpret engineering and maintenance drawings, operational procedures to understand and blend large quantities of computer related information
Apply customer's technical manual standard to work products
Mentor and assist Jr Technical writer
