Job Description

The candidate should be familiar with Department of Transportation's Operator Qualification Program, AWWA standards and processes and the knowledge and skills to train field staff to meet the required qualifications. The incumbent coordinates, develops, and facilitates journey-level training and development programs.

Duties include but are not limited to:



* Conducts needs assessments to determine training needs; researches the area of focus via internet, books, publications, manuals, etc.; develops training outline and curriculum; and creates material for training sessions.

* Creates and coordinates training calendars for training facilitation.

* Conducts training for various audiences such as new hire training, refresher training, supervisory training, technical classes, etc.

* Maintains training records which may include employee performance, productivity, etc.

* Enhances skill sets and stays abreast of new trainings and best practices via research, seminars, conferences, industry journals, etc.

* Able to offer facilitation in person and virtually using all aspects of technology

* Create training programs

* Develop and implement onboarding and offboarding

Required Skills & Experience

* Bachelor's Degree in education, organizational development, or directly related field.

* One year of training and development experience.

* An equivalent combination of training and experience (as approved by the department) may be used to meet the minimum qualifications of the classification.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Knowledge of Operator Qualification Training & Testing applications.

* Knowledge of Miss Utility and CFR 49.192 compliance.

* Natural Gas System maintenance and installation experience.
