Job Description

Help lead the assessment, development, review, and integration of cyber policies and plans within the customer's environment. Work with federal program leads from a prioritized work plan to coordinate with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to draft policy documents, including formal guidance and procedural documents; facilitate internal and external reviews; adjudicate input; coordinate for review and Director's signature; and assist with implementation and lifecycle management. Evaluate how policies and plans stack up to regulations, best practices, and industry standards through the use of regulatory and guidance documents, including Executive Orders, Intelligence Community directives, memoranda, and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, as well as DoD directives, instructions, and memos. Lead the identification, development, and modification of standard policies and plans to support enterprise operations, and continuity and contingency planning and programming.

Required Skills & Experience

* 3+ years of experience in a professional environment

* 2+ years of experience with policy and/or strategic planning development

* 1+ year of experience drafting senior-level correspondence and materials, including: briefings, congressional reports, read-aheads, and talking points

* Strong writing and communication skills

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, leveraging tools to create client-ready products for clients, including presentations, decision briefings, and memos

* Ability to track multiple tasks and deadlines concurrently

* Secret Clearance

* Bachelor's degree

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Knowledge of DoD operational and administrative chains of command, including relationships between the various Offices of the Secretary of Defense, Military Services, and Defense Agencies and Field Activities

* Knowledge of cybersecurity and information technology concepts

* Experience as a DoD action officer

* Experience with DoD's Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS)

* Experience with DoD issuance process

* Experience representing the client at, or leading, governance forums.

* Experience with developing strategy with a future focus that guides activities of an organization and incorporates the vision and long-term goals of leadership

* Possession of critical thinking and analytical skills
