Job Description

The Apple MacOS Workspace ONE AirWatch Engineer role is primarily responsible for managing a fleet of 400-500 MacBook computers. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Mac technician and working experience with deploying software to Mac computers using Workspace ONE Airwatch. Many of the MacBook computers that are under the management of this team member are assigned to senior executives, so the ability to communicate at all levels is imperative. This engineer will join a team of engineers that mostly manage iOS devices and may be asked to help them with projects or coverage when someone is on vacation. Knowledge of iOS management practices are a plus.



The Apple MacOS Workspace ONE AirWatch Engineer will play an integral role in acting as a point of contact between the agency's IT Chief Information Technology Officer and other customer representatives. This is a customer-facing role, and the perfect candidate will be able to maintain a positive relationship between customers, peers, and end users to ensure a high-level of customer satisfaction within contractually defined parameters. This team member will be designated as the primary point of contact for all MacBook management for the agency and will have a finger on the pulse of all issues and potential risks in the MacOS environment. The ideal candidate will have the demonstrated ability to brief complex information with confidence to customers at multiple levels of the organization and customers with varying levels of technical expertise.



Day to Day Job Duties:

· Responsible for preventative maintenance of MacBooks and related software/hardware

· Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot peripheral devices connected to Apple Macintosh computers.

· Test, upload, and deploy Macintosh software using AirWatch MDM Tool

· Create and deploy custom Macintosh software packages.

· Create and deploy custom AppleScript for Macintosh computers.

· Troubleshoot Apple Macintosh computer connected on a wired or wireless network.

· Responsible for vulnerability management and remediation for Macintosh devices

· Application deployment for standard software

· Draft customer communications for Macintosh software deployments.

· Monitor and package all Macintosh software updates for all deployed software in the environment.

Communicate to noncompliant device users to ensure devices are updated as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

· Active Interim Secret or Active Secret Clearance to start.

· BS/BA or equivalent combination of education and work experience

· Associate's degree in an IT related field plus 4 additional years of IT related work experience in lieu of a BS/BA

· 8 additional years of IT related work experience in lieu of a degree

· 6 years relevant experience working in technical support.

· Experience with VMware Workspace ONE AirWatch Console

· Familiar with Apple OS Software.

· The ability to troubleshoot Apple Macintosh computer hardware/software.

Generate reports using the AirWatch consol for macOS devices.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

· ITIL Foundation Certification (v3 or v4) is a plus.

· Proficient with ServiceNow (SNOW)

· Experience with security tools Tenable and FireEye Agent

· Proficient with Apple Configurator.

Basic knowledge of Apple Device Enrollment Program (DEP)
