Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for 2 Network Engineers to work the night shift at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA in support of one of their government customers to support a modernization initiative. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be trusted to review and evaluate IT infrastructure and systems to ensure adherence to company and customer quality standards. Some of the day-to-day responsibilities will include:



- Designs, plans, and builds communications networks

- Configures Routers and Switches, and firewalls for LAN and WAN systems and VPN concentrators

- Coordinates LAN/WAN hardware/software improvements and/or enhancements

- Monitor the Network

- Maintain network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability- Designs, plans, and builds communications networks

Required Skills & Experience

· Active TS/SCI (or TS with SCI eligibility)

· Ability to work the night shift (Mon-Thurs: 8 pm - 6 am)

· Bachelor's Degree in related field or comparable professional experience in lieu of a degree

· 5+ years of Networking experience

o Experience with collecting legacy configuration data to develop new configurations for Life Cycle Replacement (LCR) devices.

o Experiencing deinstalling Cisco, Juniper, Arista, and/or Aruba Routers and Switches

o Experience developing, peer reviewing and installing updated / new configurations on Routers and Switches

o Experience installing Routers and Switches

o Experience with collecting post deployment configuration data to validate successful implementation

· IAT level 2 Cert (i.e. Sec +/CE)

· Hands on experience working with Cisco, Juniper, Arista and/or Aruba networking equipment

· Ability to memorize at least two (2) six-digit combinations to access classified spaces



One of the following certifications: Brocade, Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), or Juniper (JNCIA/JNCIS/JNCIP)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

· Aruba Certified (ACSA and/or ACSP)

· Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Aruba Networking equipment

· Demonstrated experience with implementation and or management of 802.1x protocol

· Demonstrated experience with BGP peering

· Demonstrated experience with implementation and or troubleshooting of both Layer 2 and Layer 3 network hardware

· Demonstrated ability to work independently if required

Demonstrated ability to develop and assist in implementation of processes improvements
