Assesses electrical drawings and schematics pertaining to LCS Naval ships and electrical problems.
Performing cable, wire, and harness repairs.
Ensures preventative maintenance is done on ship automation systems.
Mentors/trains junior-level electricians.
Champions quality assurance and continuous improvements.
Performs tasks prescribed by work package procedure, schedule, and quality standards according to the project
statement of work.
* Complies with all policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
Responsible for the proper use, maintenance, and cleanliness of company and customer-furnished equipment
and facilities.
Acts as a professional particularly when interacting and communicating with
customers and industry counterparts.
Is accountable for timely and accurate expense management including labor charging and material usage.
Performs other duties as directed by management.
* High school diploma or GED required.
* Active passport or ability to obtain one immediately.
* 5+ years' experience as an electrician
* Ability to understand electrical drawings -- they will have to pass a verbal test on in-house
* Maritime industry experience (understanding of marine applications)
* Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
o 75-90% of the job. Most work will be in Jacksonville or Chesapeake
* Willing to work overtime and some Saturdays depending on workload.
