A client of ours located in Alexandria, Va is looking for a Director of Marketing opening. Please see a the responsibilities of this position below:
a. Department Oversight. Provide day-to-day oversight/input for two marketing team members (Communications Specialist & Design Specialist) to support marketing and communication needs of the agency.
b. Digital Communications. Provide direction and ongoing support for Communications Specialist with daily, weekly and monthly communications planning (website, social media, e-blasts, press releases, etc) to ensure content is relevant, timely, accurate and engaging.
c. Graphic Design. Provide direction and ongoing support for Graphics Specialist with development of design collateral to help support department and organization efforts and initiatives.
d. Public Outreach for TSP. Support Planning team with setting up and conducting outreach campaign for Alexandria Transit Strategic Plan (ATSP)
e. DAC Liaison. Serve as liaison to the DASH Advisory Committee, coordinate DAC meetings, information requests.
f. 40th Anniversary Ancillary Efforts
i. Plan and conduct pop-up customer appreciation events at transit centers across the City for the week of March 11-15, 2024 with assistance from DAC volunteers and DASH staff.
ii. Lead creation of 40th Anniversary Video with internal team and external support as needed
iii. Lead creation of 40th anniversary marketing campaign with internal team. May include advertisement campaign, PSAs, etc.
g. Media Relations Serve as liaison to all public media, and City counterparts for public communications.
