Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a mid-level to Sr. POS Analyst to permanently join the local on-site team in Richmond, VA supporting a National Bowling organization. This individual will have a thorough knowledge of the POS systems in a retail/multi-unit environment. The POS Systems Analyst will be instrumental in assisting all management levels to make informed business decisions and drive efficiencies. The POS Systems Analyst must be a self-starter who is highly motivated and task oriented. Strong technical knowledge with an understanding of POS systems is essential.



Responsibilities:

*Perform and manage application installation, configuration, testing, and debugging to support the organization's Point of Sale and Back Office systems

*Maintain POS information, including pricing, menus, POS navigation, and Reporting

*Support other center applications, including reservation system, credit cards, etc.

*Create training materials for field and support personnel

*Perform on-site training for field locations

*Create change control procedures and documentation

*Create test plans and carry out all system testing

*Act as the escalation point for Help Desk cases to ensure timely and accurate closure of issues

*Document system requirements and specifications

*Develop and maintain the corporate knowledgebase for POS and associated databases and systems

Required Skills & Experience

*Knowledge of POS systems (Pixelpoint, Aloha, Micros, etc.) is essential

*Must have 3-5 years of POS configuration experience

*Ability to travel required

*Must be able to communicate with center staff, General Managers on planning and implementing changes to the POS

*Strong written and oral communication skills (business requirements documentation, project plans, etc.)

*Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access)

*Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision; able to work independently

*Bachelors Degree or appropriate combination of Education/Experience

*Knowledge of retail industry (operations, management) a strong plus

*Knowledge of PC hardware and networks

*Experience writing SQL queries
