Insight Global is searching for a Network Engineer to sit onsite at one of our clients in Lynchburg, VA. This person will be responsible for the enterprise network infrastructure and providing day-to-day network support for multiple networks in both corporate and manufacturing environments. They will be a liaison between network team and cyber security team. This person will be collaborating with IT Infrastructure, Cyber and Application teams to configure and troubleshoot the network infrastructure. They will work closely with Cyber Security while leading patch and asset management of all network equipment on multiple networks. They will be monitoring and logging network issues/outages while working to resolution with support team. They will be documenting new and existing network configurations including system diagrams, and operational support documents. They will be working closely with senior team members to analyze business requirements, and design, implement, and manage an effective (WAN/LAN) network that supports our commercial and classified networks. They will be providing evening and weekend support and maintenance, as well as travel to sites as needed. They will be assisting in voice and video management along with Webex and MS Teams support.
* Bachelor's Degree in IT or 10+ years of relevant experience
* 4+ years of networking experience
* Experience with firewalls, routers, VPNs and switches
* Cisco, Juniper or Aruba experience
* Cybersecurity knowledge or expertise
* Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance
