Insight Global is seeking a software quality assurance (SQA) engineer that will be responsible for ensuring that software products are developed and released with the highest level of quality possible. This person will be involved in the entire software development life cycle, from requirements gathering and design, to testing and release. Working closely with software developers and other stakeholders, they will ensure that quality standards are met at every stage of development. They will be responsible for developing and implementing software testing strategies and methodologies, as well as creating and executing test plans and test cases. Utilizing experience with a variety of testing tools and techniques, including manual and automated testing, this person will identify and report software defects. In addition to testing, they will also be involved in code reviews, performance testing, and documentation review to ensure that software products meet quality and usability standards. The QA Test Engineer's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Assist in the definition and implementation of the organization's software development standards.
* Develop test plans and test cases that ensure software quality and that all requirements have been met.
* Conduct testing on software products to ensure that they are bug-free and meet the organization's quality standards.
* Collaborate with the development team to ensure that the software is developed in a way that is conducive to testing and that any issues are addressed in a timely manner.
* Document and report defects found during testing and work with the development team to ensure they are resolved.
* Conduct code reviews to ensure that software is being developed according to industry best practices and quality standards.
* Conduct performance testing to ensure that software products perform well under different workloads.
* Participate in release management to ensure that software is released to production with the highest quality possible.
* Automate testing processes to increase efficiency and accuracy of testing procedures.
* Stay current with industry standards and trends to ensure that our software products meet industry expectations.
* Participate with your team in agile scrum meetings, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
* Bachelor or advanced degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
* Experience with DevOps concepts, best practices, and operational support
* Understanding of cloud computing concepts and fundamentals
* 2+ years of experience as a manual tester
