Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Remote Data Development Manager to permanently join the Management Information Services team of one of our local Insurance organizations headquartered in Richmond, VA. The Management Information Services (MIS) department seeks a high-caliber leader responsible for managing and overseeing our data system. As a Data Development Manager, you will be a coach and a mentor of the data management team members accountable for delivering various analytical data-driven projects.



Responsibilities include:

Create and implement policies and procedures for data management.

Develop techniques that deliver accurate, complete, meaningful, and timely data.

Ensure ongoing information quality, including ownership of issues, investigations, and resolutions.

Identify opportunities to introduce new solutions to improve business data results.

Maintain data quality using feedback, concerns, and questions; internal reporting metrics; evaluate and identify issues; and coordinate and implement corrections.

Manage appropriate reports and define all technical terminology.

Manage DW operational processes and governance -- includes managing multiple environments.

Provide day-to-day direction, technical expertise, and oversight to our MIS developers.

Develop and train the team's skillsets and technical expertise.

Implement DW strategy in support of overall business objectives.

Work closely with all the business functions -- Finance, Marketing, Pricing, Operations, IT, and third-party partnerships.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of team management experience

3+ years of agile development (Scrum/Kanban)

5+ years' experience in DW architecture, design, and development

Azure/Cloud skills and experiences

Candidate should be comfortable working with tools such as SQL and BI.

The candidate must think critically about complex business challenges and possess strong problem-solving skills to deliver complete solutions.

Candidate must have enthusiasm for, and comfort with, working in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment while maintaining data quality and integrity.

Highly motivated and passionate about data management, frameworks, metadata/master data management, data quality, policy creation, data standards, and controls.

Candidate must have excellent communication skills to enable clear articulation while working with internal and external clients.

Candidate must have strong organizational skills and demonstrate project management experience.
