Job Description
Our client looking for a Journeyman Computer Network Architect to support the design, implementation, monitoring, management, change management, software upgrades, problem/incident resolution, and root cause analysis of Wireless Network circuits and devices.
- The successful candidate will perform Level / Tier 3 Network Engineering and Administration of applicable networks to include Wide Area Network (WAN), Local Area Network (LAN), Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), Data Centers, Virtual Private Network (VPN), terminal services (including out of band management), and other network services (such as guest LAN/WLAN).
- This position involves traveling to our federal client's facilities for on-site discovery, inspection, site mapping, and design documentation. Installation of hardware such as Wireless Access Points (WAP), establishing connection to Wireless Lan Controllers (WLC), validating functionality and optimizing performance.
Required Skills & Experience
- Plan, design, perform site survey, document, implement and support local and wide area networks (LANs/WANs) in Cisco based infrastructure.
- Specialized in Wireless technology, 801.11 N+, Wifi 4+, Wireless Lan Controllers (WLC), Ekahau, Cisco Prime infrastructure, SDA, CAPWAPP, and WLAN optimization.
- Travel moderately (5-25%), via car or plane, which requires ability to manage luggage, laptop, and briefing materials (up to 25 pounds).
-For all planned work (will require GSA TARS and approvals), the per diem and hotels must be at gov per diem rates, and will be re-imbursed. Plane and rental car are lowest cost, per government rules. If they go above the Per Diem rate it's not going to be reimbursed.
- Interactions involve client negotiations and interfacing with senior management.
- Decision-making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation.

- Possess the ability to communicate in both oral and written forms, demonstrating an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff as well as clients.
- Maintain standard working hours per the DIGIT contract and to be available for meetings, and other collaborative efforts during working hours.
- Demonstrated ability to apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments with the ability to use practical experience and training to determine how to accomplish tasks.
