Our client is looking for a strong full stack developer to be focused on the back end of their customer facing applications. They are trying to take this customer inventory application to a new level. They have already taken it from a monolithic architecture to a microservices based one. This resource will be heading adding the "bells and whistles"to make the app as "frictionless" to their customers as possible. Mainly focused around automation because their production environment is so manual right now. As as example:
Bells and whistles: They want to integrate carrier info into their system. Today when you click on a link in the app for tracking, it takes you to ups or fedex's site. They just partnered with a company that consolidates carrier info. They have an api that they can leverage and put into this system so it all stays in one site and can generate notifications (delays, shipping etc).
Majority of this development will be brand new, with some maintenance. This company operates with total collaboration, so we need people who want to suggest new ways of thinking, create new best practices and do more than just "heads down development"
