Job Description
Insight Global is searching for a Dev Engineer to support one of their customers in the supports the aerospace and defense industry. This Dev Engineer will be a hands‑on mechanical engineering role supporting design, testing, manufacturing, and customer engagement for rocket motor and propulsion systems. This role blends CAD design, production support, and customer‑facing collaboration — not a desk‑only position. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Design mechanical components using CAD tools such as SolidWorks or other similar
- Create, review, and modify engineering drawings for production
- Support root cause analysis and troubleshooting of equipment or production issues
- Assist with RFQs, early‑stage R&D, and transition from design to production
- Work directly with testing equipment (e.g., X‑ray systems, grinders, lab tools)
- Participate in frequent meetings with customers and internal stakeholders
- Communicate technical decisions clearly to non‑engineering audiences

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
SolidWorks / CAD proficiency
Ability to read and create engineering drawings
2+ years of post‑graduate engineering experience
Strong communication and presentation skills
Comfort interfacing with customers and leadership
Willingness to work fully on‑site in Cedar City
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Aerospace or defense industry experience
Exposure to propulsion systems, rocket motors, or energetics
Quality system familiarity (ASQ, AS9100, inspections, audits)
Lean Six Sigma experience or strong conceptual understanding
Ability to interpret test data and clearly explain the “why” behind results
