Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Test Engineer to support one of our medical device clients in describing/using engineering concepts, company SOP/WIs, and department SOP/WIs to solve a variety of difficult engineering problems across functional groups and business areas. This engineer will be responsible for the development of testing or electrochemical medical devices throughout their product life cycle, including: Recommendation testing, Shock and vibration testing, Reliability testing, Data logging, EMI testing, Safety testing, and Electrochemical testing.

Required Skills & Experience

-Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent) with 4–10+ years of engineering experience, preferably in testing or reliability.
-Hands-on experience testing and evaluating electrochemical or medical devices across the product lifecycle.
-Strong knowledge of test and reliability engineering principles, including risk identification, root cause analysis, and mitigation.
-Vibration testing experience
-Understanding of operational temperature and humidity testing
-Experience with SolidWorks for 3D CAD design
-Ability to develop and execute test plans, protocols, and design verification testing using SOPs/WIs.
-Experience with electrical, mechanical, and electrochemical testing (e.g., EMI, safety, reliability, vibration).
-Proven ability to analyze data, perform engineering calculations, and document results clearly.
-Developing and maintaining protocols and test plans throughout the development cycle (utilizing Risk Management, ALM for electrical and mechanical sub-level testing, and electrochemical system level testing).
-Experience developing Test Fixture Designs

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Experience in ALM or PLM for product development
-Experience with LabVIEW
-Experience with scripting and coding
-Experience with Medical Devices
