Job Description
The Environmental Services (EVS) Supervisor is responsible for leading, supporting, and overseeing EVS operations during the evening and overnight hours. This role focuses on staff supervision, floor care project leadership, training, auditing, and communication with hospital leadership to ensure cleanliness, safety, and service standards are consistently met across the facility.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader, comfortable managing teams across multiple shifts, working collaboratively with nursing and leadership, and maintaining professionalism in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.
- Supervise and support a team of approximately 10 EVS staff members, plus 1 PM staff member on graveyard shift
- Weekend staffing includes 4 staff members on afternoons and 1 on graveyard
- Provide direction, coaching, and accountability to EVS staff
- Maintain a calm, professional presence and foster a respectful, drama‑free work environment
- Partner closely with a strong Day Shift EVS Supervisor to ensure continuity of operations
- Train and onboard EVS staff as needed
- Conduct quality audits and leadership audits
- Maintain clear communication with leadership regarding performance and priorities
- Work closely with EVS leadership to maintain compliance with hospital standards
Pay rate - ~$30/hr

Required Skills & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience with Floor Care projects** (stripping, waxing, finishing floors)
- Minimum 3 years of EVS experience
- At least 1 year in a Lead or Supervisor role
- Bilingual – English and Spanish required (Approximately 90% of staff are Spanish‑speaking)
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work evenings, rotating weekends, and overtime as needed
