Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain full stack web applications using Angular 18+ on the front end and Spring Boot on the back end
• Lead and contribute to new application development from design through deployment
• Upgrade and refactor existing applications to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Support and enhance internal applications used by business and operations teams
• Assist with legacy system modernization, including code refactoring or platform migrations
• Write clean, testable, and well documented code following best practices
• Collaborate with team members through code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects, production issues, and performance bottlenecks
• Participate in architectural discussions and help drive technical decision making
Day to Day:
One of Insight Global’s financial services clients is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join their team in a hybrid role based in Utah. This individual will play a key role in the development and modernization of internal facing applications that support core business functions. The position focuses on building new applications, enhancing existing platforms, and maintaining or converting legacy systems to more modern technologies. In this role, the engineer will work extensively with Angular version 18 and newer on the front end and Spring Boot on the back end. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and deploying scalable solutions, as well as improving application performance, reliability, and maintainability. The engineer will collaborate closely with other developers, product partners, and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business needs while following best practices in software design and development. The ideal candidate is passionate about software engineering and takes pride in writing clean, well structured code. They are collaborative, adaptable, and solution oriented, with the ability to contribute in a team environment while also working independently when needed.

Required Skills & Experience
Must Have:
• At least 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer.
• At least 2-3 years of frontend development experience with Angular, versions 18+
• Experience working with Java and Springboot
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Pluses:
• Any experience with CI/CD using Jenkins or similar
• AWS experience
• Experience with OpenShift
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
