Overview: One of Insight Globals higher education clients is searching for a Data Visualization Specialist to join their team. The Data Visualization Specialist will play a critical role in developing tools and dashboards in ThoughtSpot to visualize workforce trends, learner pipelines, and program potential across diverse regions and sectors. The individual in this role will become the ThoughtSpot and Data Visualization Subject Matter Expert (SME).
This group focuses on apprentice-based programs with a groundbreaking platform that enables modern-era reporting and facilitates on-the-job training aligned with degree programs and work-ready skills. This individuals work will be central to empowering workforce boards, academic institutions, and corporate partners with actionable insights through ThoughtSpot and other cutting-edge technologies while collaborating with the Data Engineering team.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Partner with the Data Engineering and Product teams to design, build, and maintain dynamic visualizations and dashboards using ThoughtSpot, ensuring the tool is utilized to its full potential.
Consult with data engineers to ensure the underlying data supports the design.
Meet with stakeholders and translate user needs into data visualization solutions, integrating AWS, PostgreSQL, and GraphQL for optimal performance.
Collaborate to tag metadata and enhance natural language processing (NLP) capabilities within ThoughtSpot for advanced querying.
Provide oversight of the user experience (UX) design for ThoughtSpot, creating clear, actionable, and user-friendly interfaces for overall data visualization.
Work with leadership to develop visualization strategies for data collected from various sources, including academic evaluations and workforce analytics, to inform program development and learner upskilling.
Communicate with leadership and stakeholders to ensure solutions align with overarching business goals and organizational objectives, creating presentations as needed.
