Mechanical Engineer

Job Description:

Insight Global is seeking a Guidance Engineer to join one of their top defense clients at Hill Air Force Base supporting a large defensive weaponry program. This individual will be responsible for acting as the technical liaison and action officer to support collaboration between the Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) Division, the prime contractor, and external stakeholders. These individuals will provide oversight to the on-board test equipment (OBTE) development through technical and programmatic events such as test events, design reviews, specification documents, and more through coordination with other teams and stakeholders to ensure accurate test equipment systems for the program. They will also independently develop assessments of the OBTE systems and functions to be presented to stakeholders concerning the state of the OBTE Subsystem. This individual will sit on the Guidance Branch of the AVE Division that is currently in the testing phases of the weapon system and finalizing design plans of the program.

Must Haves:

7+ years of experience within an engineering background of the following: (Ideally looking for a General Engineer with a strong technical background within any of the following that is open to learning more, they do not to have ALL this experience but at least meet some of these requirements)

* Experience developing On-Board Test Equipment (OBTE)

OR

* Experience installing test configuration equipment (both hardware and software)

* Strong background within telemetry, circuit boards, flight alternation systems, batteries, etc.

* Experience with integrated requirements into existing acquisition lifecycle phases, milestones, and deliverables with system engineering principles

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics

* Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance + SAP eligible

* Ability to sit on site at Hill AFB daily (Clearfield, UT)

Plusses:

* Experience with MatLab, Python, or C++

* Experience with ICBM

* Master's degree (additional 2 YOE)

* Active Secret Clearance or higher

* Previous SAP Clearance experience
