Job Description

Responsibilities :



Analyzes financial statements and formulates questions about borrowers and guarantors to understand borrowing position and risk.



Tests presumed collateral value and performance utilizing the income capitalization and other relevant methods.



Provides brief written analysis for the preflight screening of all new loan originations.



Provides written analysis for the credit presentation to senior management, ALM, and those with credit approval authority.



Assists with opening new business accounts for new loans.







Day to Day:

One of Insight Global Clients is looking for a Sr Commercial loan Underwriter to come join their team in Salt Lake City. This individual will be responsible for reviewing new commercial loans under 15 million.

Additionally they will be overseeing a group of 6-8 Jr underwriters and assisting them as needed. Lastly this individual will be responsible for conducting the annual loan review for the entire portfolio. The ideal candidate is someone who has extensive commercial loan underwriting experience. As well as having a passion for mentoring and growing individuals and a team player attitude!

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years of experience in Commercial underwriting



Management or supervisory experience



Familiarity with loan originating systems



Professional business lending training



Such as CUES, Pacific Coast Banking School, Shockproof, Moody's, Omega, RMA, etc.



Understanding of GAAP requirements



Bachelors' Degree in Business or related field

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Master's Degree



Experience with CRE (Commercial Real Estate) and C&I (Commercial and Industrial Lending)



Current Certified Lending Authority



Business Lending Certified Authority
