Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer for a large environmental engineering consulting firm to provide support to our team on various industrial projects. The position is based in Salt Lake City, UT. An experienced project manager and/or project engineer in the heavy industrial industry; preferably, mining and/or oil and gas. Responsibilities include project management, project engineering, team management, due diligence support, design support, field inspections and verifications, as well as preparation of engineering reports. Candidate must be highly motivated, customer focused, work well in a team environment, and passionate about building a local, sustaining capital business. Candidate should also have the ability to manage a heavy workload, travel to client sites for short periods of time, and be on-call as needed. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, client interaction and organizational skills are required. The project manager will help to meet the ever increasing global demand for metals and minerals products. Each day, candidate will have the opportunity to utilize technical skills as well as collaborate with regional engineering staff to support process projects in mining, minerals, and metals engineering markets.

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years of mechanical project engineering/management experience.

Pipeline, Pressure Vessel, Relief Valve, Pumping Systems project experience.

Experience with pipe and vessel stress analysis.

Experience working in heavy mining, oil & gas, or other industrial environments/facilities.

Experience with 3D modelling software (AutoCAD or SolidWorks).

Pre-employment requirements:

Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.

Must pass Fit Testing requirements including:

9-Panel Drug Test

Hazmat Physical Exam

Hazmat Blood & Urine

Audiogram

Quantitative Respiratory Fit Test

Pulmonary Function Test

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

PE License is highly preferred.
