Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Structural Special Inspector / QA-QC Field Technician to perform quality inspections on structural construction work for large-scale and mission-critical projects, including data centers, hospitals, and industrial facilities. This is a 100% onsite role in Barstow, TX focused on verifying that structural work complies with project specifications, approved plans, and applicable building codes.
Inspect structural steel, concrete, masonry, welding, bolting, anchors, and fasteners.
Verify work complies with project drawings, specifications, and industry codes.
Witness and document concrete pours, rebar placement, welding activities, and bolt testing.
Perform or witness materials testing and sampling as required.
Salary up to $62,500

Required Skills & Experience
At least one active certification is required (additional certifications are highly preferred):
ICC Special Inspector
AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
ACI Certification
NICET Certification
ASNT NDT Certification
Proven experience performing structural special inspections on commercial, industrial, or mission-critical construction projects.
Knowledge of IBC Chapter 17, AWS D1.1, ACI 318, and AISC standards.
Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, and project specifications.
Experience on mission-critical construction projects.
