Job Description
The Administrative Assistant supports daily Home Health operations by providing administrative, clerical, scheduling, and documentation support. This role helps maintain efficient office workflows, accurate patient records, communication between teams, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide general administrative support, including data entry, document management, and communication handling.
Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, authorizations, admissions, and maintain accurate records in EMR systems.
Track and follow up on documentation, physician orders, signatures, and other compliance-related requirements.
Serve as a liaison between patients, clinical staff, families, and external providers to support efficient operations and care coordination.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare documentation standards while assisting with reports, meetings, and internal communications.

Required Skills & Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of administrative experience.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
Ability to use standard office equipment and lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Associate degree.
Previous home health or healthcare industry experience.
