Job Description
Lead all field operations activities throughout the Houston region
Forecast manpower needs and allocate labor across active projects
Hire, train, mentor, and develop field personnel
Oversee Superintendents, Foremen, and field employees
Coordinate staffing for shutdowns, weekend work, and project peaks
Monitor labor productivity and workforce utilization
Partner with the safety team to drive strong safety performance
Conduct regular site visits to review safety, manpower, quality, and productivity
Mentor supervisors and support career advancement initiatives
Participate in employee coaching, performance management, and disciplinary actions when necessary
Maintain relationships with third-party staffing partners
Evaluate and improve field processes and productivity initiatives
Monitor quality control programs and installation standards
Support multiple project types including healthcare, mission critical, data centers, manufacturing, light industrial, education, and hospitality projects
Travel throughout the Houston region and surrounding project locations including Corpus Christi, College Station, and Louisiana projects as needed

Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of field leadership experience within mechanical contracting
Experience managing large field operations and workforce planning
Ability to oversee 120-150 field employees across multiple projects
Strong background in mechanical construction (HVAC, piping, plumbing, process/mechanical systems)
Proven experience managing Superintendents, Foremen, and field personnel
OSHA-30 Certification (or ability to obtain prior to employment)
Strong safety-first mindset and demonstrated safety leadership
Experience with manpower forecasting, labor planning, and workforce allocation
Ability to bridge communication between field operations and corporate leadership
Long-term strategic mindset with focus on workforce development and growth
Strong leadership, coaching, mentoring, and employee development skills

Experience supporting healthcare construction projects
Data center construction experience
Mission critical facility experience
Manufacturing and light industrial project experience
Higher education construction experience
Experience coordinating with staffing vendors during labor spikes and shutdowns
Experience implementing field technology and process improvements
BIM/VDC, mobile field reporting, or construction software experience
Experience managing large-scale projects exceeding $50M
Familiarity with hospitality construction projects
