Job Description

• 60-70% of Accounting Functions (Must need to know how to prepare financial reports, overseeing monthly closings and account reconciliations, federal and sales tax, etc.)
• 30-40% of HR functions (Worked with Insurance Brokers with Benefits, Employee Relations, and Payroll)

This person carries out supervisory responsibilities in
accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, and training employees, as well as planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Job Responsibilities:
• Establishes, or recommends to management, major corporate economic strategies, objectives, and policies for company.
• Builds strong mutual understanding and supportive relationship with our parent company
• Recommends modifications to existing corporate programs in accordance with local and federal laws, and parent company’s policies and procedures.
• Reviews and prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activities and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
• Directs preparation of budgets, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification with management and parent
company.
• Oversees the activities of Facilities Management
• Oversees the activities of the Human Resources Department.
• Advises management about insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities.
• Prepares financial reports for management.
• Develops policies and procedures for account collections and extension of credit to customers.
• Provides management and parent company with timely review of organization’s financial status and progress in its various programs and activities.
• Directs determination of depreciation rates to apply to capital assets.
• Calculates monthly book and tax depreciation and enters monthly depreciation entries and adjustments.
• Calculates book and tax gain/loss on sale or disposal of fixed assets.
• Advises management on desirable optional adjustments due to tax code revisions.
• Arranges and coordinates audits of company’s accounts.
• Arranges and coordinates the preparation of Federal, State, and local tax returns and reporting.
• Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.
• Establishes and maintains relations with banks and other financial institutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Accounting experience - must know how to prepare financial reports, oversee monthly closings and account reconciliations, federal and state taxes, etc.
• At least 3-5 years of management experience
