Insight Global is looking for Senior Azure Cloud & Network Engineer to work on site in Austin, TX and support the strategy and introduction of products based on unique and highly differentiated capabilities of a preeminent foundry for semiconductor systems and defense electronics companies. Their mission is to advance the state-of-the-art in critical semiconductor domains such as advanced packaging, and in the process to help restore U.S. leadership in semiconductor manufacturing. They are developing cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing technology that will define future roadmaps of semiconductor devices including logic, memory, 3D packaged devices.
The Senior Azure Cloud & Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining enterprise cloud and network infrastructure supporting semiconductor manufacturing operations, engineering workloads, EDA environments, advanced packaging development, and defense-related programs.
This individual will lead cloud architecture initiatives across Azure and hybrid environments while ensuring secure, highly available connectivity between manufacturing systems, research labs, data centers, and cloud-based engineering platforms. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in Azure cloud services, enterprise networking, cybersecurity, automation, and hybrid cloud architecture within highly regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Azure Cloud Architecture & Operations:
Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available Microsoft Azure environments.
Lead cloud transformation initiatives and migration of legacy infrastructure to Azure.
Develop infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, or similar automation frameworks.
Implement cloud governance, resource management, and cost optimization strategies.
Architect and support Azure landing zones, subscriptions, policies, and management groups.
Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, reliability, and security using Azure-native tools.
Enterprise Networking:
Design and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, and data center network infrastructure.
Engineer secure connectivity between manufacturing facilities, research environments, cloud platforms, and remote users.
Manage routing, switching, segmentation, firewall policies, load balancing, and VPN solutions.
Support network architectures for high-performance computing (HPC), EDA environments, and semiconductor design workloads.
Optimize network performance for large-scale engineering data transfers and manufacturing systems.
Automation & Infrastructure Engineering:
Develop automation solutions utilizing PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI, and DevOps pipelines.
Implement CI/CD processes for infrastructure deployment and configuration management.
Create monitoring, alerting, logging, and performance dashboards.
Support disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity planning.
Manufacturing & Engineering Systems Support:
Collaborate with engineering, facilities, and manufacturing teams to support semiconductor fabrication and advanced packaging operations.
Enable connectivity and infrastructure requirements for manufacturing execution systems (MES), process control systems, laboratory environments, and engineering platforms.
Support high-availability environments requiring minimal downtime and business continuity.
Architect infrastructure capable of supporting data-intensive semiconductor R&D and production operations.

Required Skills & Experience
achelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
8+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, cloud engineering, or network engineering.
5+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure experience.
