Job Description

he Network Architect will be responsible for designing, documenting, and continuously improving the organization's enterprise network infrastructure. This individual will develop and maintain comprehensive network architecture diagrams, topology documentation, IP segmentation records, and connectivity maps across all network environments. They will lead the design and implementation of new network solutions, site deployments, and cloud connectivity initiatives while partnering closely with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with CJIS and other security requirements. The Architect will work with technology partners to develop Statements of Work, provide technical leadership for infrastructure projects, and ensure all network documentation remains accurate and up to date. Success in this role requires a strong architectural mindset, deep technical expertise across Cisco, Palo Alto, F5, and Aruba technologies, and a relentless focus on network governance, documentation, and operational excellence. This will be a hybrid environment 3 days onsite.

Required Skills & Experience

8+ years of enterprise network engineering and architecture experience
Proven experience serving as a Network Architect in large, complex environments
Expert knowledge of Cisco networking technologies, including routing, switching, and network design
Strong experience with Palo Alto firewalls and security architecture
Experience administering and architecting F5 load balancing solutions
Hands-on experience with Aruba wireless networking solutions
Advanced understanding of network topology design and end-to-end infrastructure connectivity
Experience designing and implementing new network sites, locations, and enterprise network expansions
Proven ability to create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, diagrams, and standards
Extensive experience documenting network environments using Visio and other architecture tools
Knowledge of IP addressing schemes, network segmentation, VLANs, and connectivity design
Experience developing Statements of Work (SOWs) and working with technology partners and vendors
Experience supporting cloud connectivity and hybrid network solutions
Ability to manage network lifecycle activities, integrations, and infrastructure modernization efforts
Experience working in highly regulated environments with security and compliance requirements
Strong collaboration skills with Cybersecurity teams to support audits, reviews, and compliance documentation
Excellent written communication and technical documentation skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

CCIE Written certification
Experience supporting CJIS-compliant environments
Experience working within municipal, government, or public-sector organizations
Experience participating in security reviews, audits, and compliance submissions
Knowledge of enterprise network monitoring and infrastructure management platforms
