Job Description

A client of Insight Global is searching for a leader that will build and scale a new Portfolio Governance & Delivery function responsible for establishing the governance, methodology, operating model, and delivery standards that drive successful technology and innovation initiatives across the enterprise. The role will create the vision, processes, reporting structures, and portfolio management capabilities needed to improve delivery consistency while maintaining flexibility and agility. This person will oversee portfolio intake, prioritization, investment governance, resource planning, risk management, executive reporting, and cross-functional delivery coordination across multiple technology domains. They will partner closely with executive leadership, change management, vendor management, finance, and business stakeholders to ensure initiatives are properly governed, aligned to strategic priorities, and delivering measurable business value. A major focus of the role will be building a PMO from the ground up, standardizing delivery expectations across internal and contract project managers, establishing accountability and governance frameworks, creating portfolio-level visibility through dashboards and reporting, and developing a scalable operating model that supports organizational growth without creating unnecessary process overhead.

Required Skills & Experience

- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Portfolio Management, PMO leadership, Program
Management, Technology Delivery, Consulting, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience building or transforming portfolio governance or PMO capabilities within a large
complex organization.
- Experience establishing governance frameworks, portfolio management processes, delivery methodologies,
and executive reporting.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies, with the ability to adapt approaches based on organizational needs rather than forcing a textbook methodology.
- Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, facilitation, and influencing skills.
- Experience developing portfolio health reporting, governance forums, steering committees, risk management processes, and decision-making frameworks.
- Financial acumen related to project budgeting, forecasting, resource management, capacity planning, and investment governance.
- Experience managing internal teams, contractors, consultants, and third-party delivery resources.
- Experience developing governance frameworks, methodologies, standards, and operating models, and
organizational capabilities.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience supporting large-scale ERP, HCM, CRM, ITSM, data, infrastructure, cybersecurity, or enterprise
technology transformation initiatives.
- Experience supporting technology integration activities asóciate with mergers, acquisitions or divestitures
- Construction, manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or similar project-based industry experience.
- PMP, PgMP, PfMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent project and portfolio management certifications.
- Experience balancing governance and delivery within fast-paced organizations that require flexibility rather than heavily process-driven environments.
