Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on GitHub Enterprise Architect / Senior GitHub Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and implementation of GitHub Enterprise in a secure hybrid environment. This individual will play a key role in modernizing source control, CI/CD capabilities, and application security practices while providing technical leadership and best-practice recommendations.
This is not a purely architectural role. The ideal candidate will have deep GitHub Enterprise expertise and be comfortable performing hands-on implementation work, infrastructure configuration, and troubleshooting while partnering with stakeholders on strategy, governance, and platform adoption.

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of software engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or infrastructure experience.
Extensive hands-on experience implementing and administering GitHub Enterprise.
Experience deploying GitHub Enterprise in on-premises environments (required).
Experience with GitHub Enterprise Cloud and hybrid deployments.
Strong knowledge of GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS), including:
CodeQL
Secret Scanning
Dependency Scanning
Software Composition Analysis (SCA)
Experience designing and implementing self-hosted GitHub runners.
Experience with containerized environments and infrastructure deployment.
Experience integrating GitHub with enterprise identity providers using SSO.
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
Experience with source code migration and repository modernization efforts.
Strong understanding of infrastructure, networking, and security concepts including:
Firewalls
Network segmentation
Routing
IP addressing
Secure environment design
Experience working directly with stakeholders, technical teams, and business leaders.
Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Azure DevOps integration experience.
Experience with Azure infrastructure and cloud-native services.
OpenShift or Kubernetes experience.
Experience with Snyk, Veracode, or similar security scanning tools.
Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Active Directory integration experience.
Experience supporting highly regulated or secure environments.
Experience with GitHub Actions at enterprise scale.
Knowledge of local AI models or AI-assisted developer tooling.
Experience with large-scale repository migrations and platform modernization initiatives.
