Job Description
An employer is looking for a Sr. Network Design Engineer for one of their premier Oil and Gas clients in Houston, TX. This person will be part of team responsible for managing the end-to-end technical delivery of the telecommunications systems required as part of multiple Connectivity Projects while also planning for a Infoblox Device refresh project. The key accountabilities are: 1. Development of detailed designs for portfolio solutions / services & projects. 2. Perform network and telecom design assurance on various projects. 3. Technical Authority for networking projects. 4. Assurance during transition to operate during execution phase of a project in support of target operating environment. This is a true designing and architecture SME role focused on DDI and Infoblox. This role is onsite in the Energy Corridor 3 days a week and will pay between $80-100/hr depending on skillset and experience.

Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of general Networking Design experience (LAN, WAN, and WLAN) with a strong networking background in routing, switching, cloud networking, and network security architectures.
Strong experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise DNS, DHCP, and IPAM solutions.
Extensive expertise with Infoblox NIOS, DNSSEC, DHCP failover, IPv4/IPv6 address management, and API-driven automation.
Proven track record supporting large global network environments, improving DNS availability, automating IP allocation workflows, and strengthening DNS security through RPZ and threat intelligence integrations.
Experience with Internet DNS solutions including Cloudflare
Experience with multi-cloud IPAM environments (Azure, AWS, Google, etc.)
Experience with multivendor designs and implementations (Cisco and Aruba) - Creating HLDs, LLDs, implementation plans, network diagrams, etc.
Experience with designing and implementing Aruba Wi-Fi
Aruba Clearspass (CPPM) experience including (AAA, 802.1x, policy development, ServiceNow and WorkspaceOne integrations, etc.)

Experience with Efficient IP
