Job Description
A client in the Houston area is looking for a Technical Project Manager to join their team. This person will be responsible for driving cross-functional programs involving PC architecture, BIOS/UEFI development, firmware releases, hardware integration, and platform validation. Candidate will lead end-to-end projects focused on PC architecture and new feature development related to BIOS and firmware development. Other day to day responsibilities will include but not be limited to managing project plans, milestones, risks, dependencies, and status reporting. Coordinating delivery from engineers, product teams, and stakeholders will be critical to ensure projects are staying on track and within budget. This person must have strong organizational skills, good written and verbal skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced work environment. Based on knowledge and years of experience, this position offers a pay range of $50-60/hr.

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of Technical Project or Program Management experience.
Background supporting PC architecture, BIOS/UEFI, or firmware development projects.
Strong understanding of system boot processes, hardware configuration, firmware lifecycles, and platform architecture.
Experience managing cross-functional engineering teams and technical stakeholders.
Proficiency with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with commercial PC, laptop, or workstation platforms.
Familiarity with Intel and AMD architectures.
Understanding of firmware testing, debugging, and validation.
PMP, Scrum, or SAFe certification
