Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Procurement Lead to join a top energy company in Houston, TX, supporting the engineering, procurement, and construction of multiple hyperscale, mission-critical data centers across the United States. This individual will lead procurement activities for assigned project packages, managing the purchase of materials, equipment, and services from order placement through delivery.
Responsibilities include administering purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers on delivery schedules and documentation, monitoring supplier performance, expediting critical materials, and providing procurement status updates to project leadership. The Procurement Lead will work closely with engineering, logistics, construction, project controls, contracts, and finance teams to ensure materials are delivered on schedule and in compliance with commercial, contractual, and quality requirements. This role also supports supplier performance evaluations, procurement audits, and project closeout activities.

Required Skills & Experience

12-18 years of procurement experience supporting large-scale construction, industrial, infrastructure, or mission-critical projects

Proven experience managing purchase order execution and supplier performance across multiple scopes and suppliers

Strong understanding of commercial terms, contract compliance, and supply chain management principles

Experience coordinating with engineering, logistics, project controls, and field construction teams

Demonstrated experience managing supplier relationships and expediting critical materials and equipment

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; OR 10+ years of progressive procurement experience in project-based construction environments

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience supporting Data Center or mission-critical facility construction projects

Professional certification such as CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent

Experience with SAP, Oracle, or other ERP procurement systems

Knowledge of supplier performance management, logistics coordination, and expediting processes
