Job Description
The Lead Informatics & Analytics Developer will serve as the primary hands-on technical lead for healthcare data, reporting, and analytics. This person will be responsible for developing Power BI dashboards, working directly with Snowflake data, building scalable data models, writing SQL queries, validating reporting logic, and supporting data governance efforts.The ideal candidate has strong experience working with large healthcare data sets, preferably within an EMR environment such as Athena or Epic. Athena experience is highly preferred, specifically Athena DataView, which is Prism’s Snowflake-based data source. This role is best suited for someone who can do more than create front-end visuals. They need to understand how to apply business logic in the data model, clean and transform data, troubleshoot issues, and create reliable reporting that stakeholders can trust.This is a hands-on developer role, not a purely strategic or administrative position. The person in this role will be expected to work directly in Snowflake, Power BI, SQL, and the underlying data models to support clinical, operational, financial, pharmacy, quality, grants, and executive reporting needs.

Required Skills & Experience
-Bachelor’s degree required
-5+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, informatics, business intelligence, data analysis, reporting, data engineering, or a related healthcare data role.
-3+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI, Snowflake, and SQL.
-Strong Power BI dashboard development experience, including experience building data models and semantic models.
-Strong Snowflake experience, including querying data, understanding architecture, and working with data models.
- Strong SQL skills, including joins, troubleshooting, validation, and data reconciliation.
-Experience working with large data sets.
-Experience with EMR/EHR data and healthcare reporting - experience with Athena or Epic is highly preferred.
-Experience applying business logic within the data model rather than only creating front-end visualizations.
-Experience with Power Query, DAX, data transformation, and dashboard troubleshooting.
-Ability to troubleshoot error messages, refresh issues, data mismatches, and reporting discrepancies.
-Strong understanding of source-to-report validation and data quality.
-Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
-Ability to work independently and serve as the primary technical owner for reporting and analytics deliverables.

-AthenaOne and Athena DataView experience.
-Provider productivity, patient access, payer mix, revenue cycle, pharmacy, or 340B reporting experience.
