Job Description
Our utility client is seeking a CAD Technician / Land Technician to support land and right-of-way activities related to company facilities and property interests. This role combines technical drafting, mapping, and land analysis responsibilities, including the preparation of legal descriptions, easement exhibits, plats, and property records. The ideal candidate will have experience working with both AutoCAD and land/right-of-way documentation and be comfortable interpreting deeds, surveys, maps, and boundary information.

Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of experience in CAD drafting, land administration, surveying, right-of-way, or a related field
Proficiency with AutoCAD and experience preparing maps, plats, sketches, and technical drawings
Ability to interpret deeds, easements, legal descriptions, surveys, field notes, and property records
Experience determining property boundaries, easement locations, and land ownership interests
Strong analytical and mathematical skills, including working with survey and electronic mapping data
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage and maintain accurate land and property records
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Utility, pipeline, oil & gas, or infrastructure industry experience
Working knowledge of GIS mapping systems and geospatial data management
Experience preparing metes and bounds descriptions and other legal land documents
Familiarity with right-of-way acquisition, easement management, or land records administration
Exposure to surveying equipment, survey data processing, or boundary analysis
