Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Junior BI Developer to join their client's Data Office. Responsibilities include:
-Quickly ramp up and assume ownership of BI work transitioning from a third-party provider.
-Build and maintain Power BI reports and SQL-based data solutions.
-Partner directly with business users to understand requests and translate them into reporting solutions.
-Participate in daily scrums and collaborate with team members on ongoing initiatives.
-Use AI tools to accelerate onboarding, knowledge transfer, and solution development.
-Become a subject matter expert within one primary business domain and operate with increasing independence.

Required Skills & Experience
-Experience with Power BI for reporting and dashboard development.
-Strong SQL skills with the ability to write and troubleshoot queries.
-Demonstrated use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, etc.) to accelerate development, analytics, and problem solving.
-Ability to leverage AI-generated outputs as a starting point and validate/refine results independently.
-Strong critical thinking skills and a proactive approach to learning new business domains.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Experience with Azure data and analytics technologies.
-Exposure to AI-assisted coding, prompt engineering, or analytics workflows.
-Prior experience supporting business users or gathering reporting requirements.
