Job Description

Day-to-Day:
• Perform inspection and root cause analysis on returned medical devices
• Troubleshoot electromechanical systems, including circuit boards and wiring
• Test functionality, disassemble devices, and analyze product failures
• Document findings and maintain compliance with FDA and ISO standards
• Support complaint investigations and RMA processes
• Partner closely with Quality, Production, and R&D teams
• Assist with NCR creation, tracking, and trending analysis
• Perform in-process inspections and support product release activities
• Maintain clean and compliant inspection workspace and documentation
• Contribute to continuous improvement and product quality initiatives

Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a Quality Engineering Technician for a leading medical device client. This individual will play a key role in supporting complaint return investigations and driving product quality improvements for both current and future devices. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with electromechanical systems, including circuit board troubleshooting and low-voltage electronics, in a regulated environment. This person will work cross-functionally with quality, production, and R&D teams to identify root causes, ensure compliance with FDA and ISO 13485 standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This is a highly visible, onsite role offering strong exposure to both product quality operations and innovation efforts.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2+ years of experience as a Quality Technician or Engineering Technician in a medical device environment
• Experience with electronic troubleshooting - circuit boards, wiring, low voltage (18W systems)
• Strong understanding of FDA regulations and ISO 13485 compliance / cGMP
• Experience supporting complaint investigations / RMA (Returned Material Authorization) processes
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, drawings, and technical documentation
• Experience using multimeters and precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, pin gauges)
•Strong documentation, inspection, and reporting skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with CAPA / NCR processes
• Background supporting product refurbishment or production environments
• Exposure to R&D collaboration or new product support
• Familiarity with quality tracking systems (IE Salesforce CRM)
