Job Description

The Deliverability & Channel Standards Owner owns communication strategy, engagement optimization, channel governance, and performance measurement across email, SMS, and push notification programs.
This individual leverages analytics, Customer Journey Analytics, customer behavior insights, and machine learning recommendations to determine the best audience, channel, message frequency, and timing for customer communications.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical and able to translate complex customer behavior data into actionable communication strategies.

Key Responsibilities
• Define and enforce channel standards related to:
o Email deliverability and sender reputation
o SMS compliance and opt-out requirements
o Push notification frequency and engagement thresholds
• Establish and maintain cross-channel communication governance policies
• Analyze customer behavior and engagement data to determine optimal:
o Audience targeting
o Send timing
o Message frequency
o Channel selection
• Translate complex data insights into actionable communication strategies
• Develop and implement repeatable optimization frameworks based on performance data
• Monitor and manage channel health, including IP warming and reputation tracking
• Oversee send throttling and frequency controls to maintain engagement and compliance
• Partner with Journey Architects to ensure channel best practices are incorporated into campaign and journey design
• Communicate data-driven recommendations and clearly articulate the rationale behind decisions
• Leverage analytics and machine learning insights to improve communication effectiveness and personalization

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience in an analyst or data-driven role
• Strong hands-on experience with Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) and Customer Journey Analytics (CJA)
• Strong data analytics background with the ability to interpret complex marketing data
• Ability to translate insights into actionable campaign and communication strategies
• Strong understanding of channel performance, engagement metrics, and deliverability concepts
• Experience creating governance frameworks, processes, or structured optimization models
• Ability to communicate insights clearly and effectively to stakeholders

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience working with AI and machine learning models in a marketing or analytics context
• Advanced experience building or influencing channel-level performance strategies
