Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an Insurance Follow-Up Specialist to join a revenue cycle team at a large health center in Houston. This individual will be responsible for reviewing, researching, and resolving denied or rejected insurance claims, ensuring timely reimbursement and accurate account resolution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physician billing, denial management, Medicare, managed care plans, and Epic.
This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can effectively analyze complex claims, navigate payer requirements, and work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Required Skills & Experience
-High School Diploma or GED required.
-2+ years of healthcare insurance follow-up, accounts receivable, or denial management experience.
-Experience working denied and rejected claims within a healthcare environment.
-Strong knowledge of Medicare, managed care plans, and insurance reimbursement processes.
-Experience with appeals, denial resolution, and payer follow-up.
-Proficiency with Epic.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
-Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
2+ years of physician billing experience.
Experience supporting multiple medical specialties.
Extensive knowledge of revenue cycle operations and payer regulations.
Previous experience in a hospital or large healthcare system environment.
Strong understanding of denial prevention and reimbursement optimization strategies.
