Job Description
An AI Engineering team within a Fortune 500 Healthcare company is seeking an AI Automation Engineer to build and deploy agentic AI solutions that automate data engineering workflows. This team operates like an internal startup, owning the entire solution lifecycle - from idea generation and requirements gathering to architecture, development, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
This is not a traditional machine learning or data science role. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building and deploying production-grade GenAI applications, chatbots, and AI agents that solve real business problems.
The engineer will work across business and technical teams to transform ambiguous requirements into scalable AI-powered automation solutions. Current initiatives include agentic AI applications, workflow automation, Anthropic/Claude integrations, and AI systems capable of retrieving information and taking action.

Required Skills & Experience
- Strong Python development experience
- Experience building and deploying production GenAI applications
- Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents / Chatbots, Prompt Engineering
- Experience designing and supporting production AI systems
- Ability to explain full project ownership
- Experience with containerized deployments like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments
- Experience translating business needs into technical solutions
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Data Engineering background including data pipelines, metadata exploration, data validation, and workflow automation
- LangChain
- Google ADK
- Anthropic SDK / Claude integrations
- Experience developing AI plugins or agent frameworks
- Exposure to enterprise AI platforms
- Experience within startup or startup-like environments
- Experience building AI systems capable of taking actions beyond retrieval
