Job Description
We are seeking an accomplished cybersecurity leader with 20+ years of experience leading and transforming enterprise cybersecurity programs within large U.S.-based organizations. This individual will be responsible for defining and executing the cybersecurity vision, strategy, governance, and operational security program while leading teams responsible for protecting the organization from evolving cyber threats.
This is a full-time leadership opportunity with a strong succession path to a future Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) role for a candidate who demonstrates exceptional strategic leadership and business impact. Preferred locations are The Woodlands, TX, or Watsonville, CA; however, exceptional candidates may be considered for a fully remote position anywhere in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the enterprise cybersecurity strategy, governance framework, and multi-year roadmap.
Lead cybersecurity operations, incident response, vulnerability management, and threat detection programs.
Identify, assess, and prioritize cybersecurity risks across the enterprise.
Ensure compliance with security and regulatory frameworks including NIST 800-171, CMMC, DFARS/FARS, FedRAMP, and CCPA.
Partner with IT, Infrastructure, and business leaders to implement cybersecurity best practices and risk mitigation initiatives.
Oversee third-party/vendor cybersecurity assessments and risk management.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing cybersecurity organization.
Present cybersecurity strategy, risks, and program effectiveness to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
Manage the cybersecurity budget and align investments with business objectives and risk reduction efforts.

Required Skills & Experience
20+ years of cybersecurity and information security experience.
10+ years in senior cybersecurity leadership roles.
Proven experience leading enterprise cybersecurity transformations within large organizations.
Experience engaging with executive leadership teams and Boards of Directors.
Deep expertise in cybersecurity strategy, governance, risk management, and security operations.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, regulatory compliance, and emerging threats.
Experience developing cybersecurity roadmaps, budgets, and enterprise-wide security programs.
Outstanding leadership, communication, and executive presentation skills.
Ability to influence stakeholders and drive organizational change.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
CISSP, CISM, or comparable information security certification preferred.
