Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support aerospace production and modification programs. This individual will serve as the liaison between engineering design and manufacturing operations, ensuring aircraft components and assemblies are translated into efficient, executable production processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive aircraft experience and strong proficiency interpreting and developing manufacturing documentation from legacy 2D engineering drawings, as many aircraft systems and components do not have available 3D models.
The Manufacturing Engineer will work cross-functionally with Design Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management teams to develop manufacturing plans, improve production processes, and support aircraft build, modification, and sustainment activities.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain manufacturing plans, work instructions, and process documentation for aircraft assembly, modification, and repair activities.
Interpret complex 2D engineering drawings, specifications, and technical data packages to create detailed manufacturing and installation instructions.
Serve as the primary manufacturing engineering support for aircraft production and sustainment efforts.
Partner with mechanics, technicians, and production leadership to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
Evaluate production processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and schedule performance.
Support root cause and corrective action investigations related to manufacturing non-conformances.
Develop tooling, fixture, and process requirements to support aircraft manufacturing operations.
Coordinate engineering changes and ensure manufacturing documentation remains aligned with released design data.
Conduct manufacturing readiness assessments and support production planning activities.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

Compensation:
$62/hr to $69/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
