Data Insights Analyst

Insight Global is seeking a data analytics professional who does more than just track binary data; they must translate complex datasets into compelling, actionable business stories using rigorous statistical approaches. This role requires a balance of deep data exploration, probabilistic modeling, and the ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders to drive strategic action and improve key business metrics. This individual should be a someone who autonomously uncovers data, formulates hypotheses, and drafts their own models to find hidden opportunities. They should drive the analysis, not wait for direction.

Core Responsibilities:
- Data Interpretation & Deep Exploration (80%): Dive deep into complex datasets to identify trends, perform probabilistic modeling, and extract measurable insights that directly impact business strategy
- Data Visualization & Dashboarding (20%): Develop and maintain intuitive dashboards to monitor performance and make data accessible
- Strategic Storytelling: Translate technical analysis into clear, narrative-driven insights that non-technical leaders can easily understand
- Actionable Insights: Act as an internal advisor, exploring data to proactively recommend specific actions to optimize and improve company metrics
- Data Quality Assurance: Validate and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and quality of all data streams before analysis

• 4+ years of experience in data analysis, decision support, and dashboard development
• Demonstrated proficiency in query languages such as SQL, Python, or R
• Advanced data visualization skills, and the ability to build clear, actionable dashboards using modern BI tools (specifically Tableau or Power BI)
• Strong statistical analysis skills, with the ability to apply advanced methods to uncover relationships, validate findings, and support sound conclusions
• Experience with data quality validation, documentation, and testing
• Demonstrated ability to present complex analytical findings clearly to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field

• Experience applying spatial data analysis and mapping techniques to solve complex business problems
• Strong background working within the utilities sector
