Job Description
An employer in San Antonio is looking for a Construction Superintendent to manage a civil infrastructure project. This role involves overseeing the civil infrastructure job primarily, but this individual should be comfortable overseeing multiple jobs. They will be responsible for coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring timely completion while maintaining quality and safety standards. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Lead and document all construction activities across multiple job sites
• Manage jobsite operations and supervise subcontractors for scopes like shade structures, playgrounds, electrical, and concrete
• Develop and maintain 3-week look-ahead schedules, ensuring alignment with project milestones
• Use Autodesk Build or Procore to track issues, annotate plans, and manage workflows
• Coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and timelines
• Plan and schedule manpower, materials, and equipment for multiple concurrent projects
• Conduct daily safety and progress reporting, including photo documentation
• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain project momentum

Required Skills & Experience
• 10+ years as a Superintendent on heavy civil or utility infrastructure projects
• Direct experience on substation, power, or utility site work
• Earthwork & Site Development experience - Mass earthwork (cut/fill operations) – ideally 15K+ CY
• Strong understanding of: Soil conditions, compaction, and moisture control
• Hands-on experience overseeing - Underground conduit installation, duct banks or utility corridors
• Execute and plan 3 week lookaheads – Coordinating and sequence crews and subcontractors efficiently
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Security / Perimeter Work (Nice but helpful)
• Basic experience with: Final grading and site closeout activities
• Exposure to: High-security fencing installs (ClearVu, Cochrane, etc.)
• OSHA 30-hour certification (or similar safety credentials)
