Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented GIS Specialist to support ongoing network mapping and as-built design updates within a utility-focused environment. This individual will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of spatial data by reviewing project packages and updating gas network assets. This role will initially focus on service line work, with the opportunity to expand into broader network updates and more complex GIS responsibilities over time.
• Review project packages and as-built documentation to accurately capture new network assets, update existing infrastructure, and retire abandoned or removed assets within GIS systems (Locusview).
• Validate and correct existing gas service data where location or attribute information is inaccurate.
• Support ongoing system updates to ensure data integrity across the network.
• Perform ad hoc updates and tasks (e.g., leak repair documentation updates) as directed.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate project execution.

Required Skills & Experience
• 2–3 years of professional GIS experience
• Proficiency with ArcGIS Pro and/or ArcGIS Desktop
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
• Experience within one of the following industries:
• Oil & Gas
• Utilities
• Telecommunications
• Railroad
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Prior experience specifically within utilities or oil & gas environments
• Exposure to as-built design workflows or network mapping updates
• Experience working with tools like Locusview or similar GIS platforms
• Familiarity with gas distribution systems or infrastructure data
