Job Description

This is an executive-level leadership role responsible for overseeing emergency response logistics operations across multiple states. This person will manage large-scale logistics readiness, including equipment, fleet, and inventory, and ensure rapid deployment during emergency situations.

- Oversee emergency logistics operations, including deployment of resources for disaster response (e.g., hurricanes)
- Ensure all equipment and teams are ready to deploy within ~2 hours notice
- Manage and maintain multi-million-dollar inventory and fleet
- Lead and develop a logistics team with strong command presence and accountability
- Act as a hands-on leader (willing to step in and work alongside the team when needed)
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and external partnerships
- Represent the organization in the emergency management community
- Support operations across:
- Texas
- Louisiana
- Florida
- North Carolina

Required Skills & Experience

- Education: Bachelor’s Degree required
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in:
- Logistics
- Supply Chain
- Emergency Operations
- Executive-level leadership experience (equivalent to Battalion Chief or higher)
- Must be able to step into a senior leadership role immediately (not developmental)
- Industry Background: First responder background REQUIRED
- Paramedic (preferred)
- EMT-B (minimum)
- Must have hands-on emergency response experience
- Ability to apply field knowledge to logistics decision-making (not just operations/logistics background)
- Leadership Traits:
- Strong command presence
- Decisive and confident under pressure
- Ability to handle tough questions and lead at a high level
- Must have energy and drive (not a retirement role)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Master’s strongly preferred (executive-level role)
Based in Texas or strong familiarity with Texas emergency management network
Experience with:

Texas Task Force One
Texas Forestry Service
State-level emergency response organizations
Background in fire service leadership (preferred pipeline)
Candidates transitioning from first career (e.g., firefighter ready for next phase—not fully retiring)
