Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Product Review Engineer (PRE) / Liaison Engineer to support a large aerospace client in San Antonio, TX. This role is embedded in a hands-on production environment, supporting electrical installations (including blankets) and aircraft interiors, with a strong emphasis on MRB dispositioning and real-time issue resolution on the shop floor. The ideal candidate brings deep MRB and liaison engineering experience, is comfortable working directly with mechanics on aircraft, and can make rapid, high-quality engineering decisions to support production flow.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the engineering point of contact on the production floor, frequently boarding aircraft to support build and rework activity
Lead Material Review Board (MRB) activities, including developing dispositions for non-conformances related to electrical installations and interiors
Collaborate with mechanics, quality, and inspection teams to identify, document, and resolve production issues in real time
Perform root cause analysis and drive implementation of corrective and preventive actions
Develop interim and final engineering solutions, including repair plans, rework instructions, and deviation dispositions
Partner with Design and Stress Engineering to ensure solutions align with design intent, structural integrity, and safety requirements
Assess and resolve product and process issues across the production lifecycle, ensuring minimal disruption to build schedule
Identify trends in defects or rework and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and contribute to design reviews with production-based insights
Ensure compliance with Boeing standards, regulatory requirements, and quality systems
Communicate and document deviations that could impact aircraft safety, performance, or design integrity
Develop engineering documentation to support continued safe operation and maintainability

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology
• 5+ years of experience with structural and/or electrical rework/repair design restoring aircraft/system capability
• Aerospace experience required (commercial and/or military)
• MRB experience required (Material Review Board); signature authority highly preferred
• Experience in commercial material review and production environments
• Experience working directly with shop/factory floor personnel
• Experience with electrical systems, installations, interiors, insulation/blankets
• Strong ability to resolve product/process issues across the lifecycle

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• MRB signature authority certification (highly valued)
• Experience across both structures AND electrical MRB
• Commercial and/or military aircraft program experience
• Prior large aerospace OEM experience
• 8+ years in avionics troubleshooting, wire bundles, or aircraft electrical systems
• Experience with root cause analysis + dispositioning non-conformances
• Experience identifying recurring product/process improvements
• Ability to read/create engineering drawings, specs, and manuals
• Executive interiors / wide-body modification & repair experience
• Maintenance, retrofit, or liaison engineering background
• Experience mentoring junior engineers (especially electrical)
• Active secret clearance
